    Received a text from this phishing scam that said, Need an extra $1,000 today? Use it for your bills or expenses. Get it directly in just minutes at www.directfundsnow.com. I called the number (from a blocked office phone) to tell them off and a dude answered and told me that that was not his number and that the cell phone I reached was a 714 area code and he did not know what I was talking about. I told him that I reported the number to the state Attorney General as it is illegal to send any business text message without permission as it could cost the person who is receiving the text.     Caller ID said "INSURANCE LIST" (!) NO apparent connection with that & the # on Google. As for a search just for the #? Three overseas sites with fake sounding names they told Google (seriously, someone in Lesthoto is named "Alaska"? Yeah, pull the other leg too....)

    Accidentally called "MORRISVILLE PA" back to get voicemail (only there WASN'T). "Gail" said it was the "Medicare Enrollment Center" but couldn't say why the caller ID was different OR why no message was left. Now reported to Medicare.gov (who said they DON'T make cold calls).
